Comedy Café

In 1994 Comedy Café Amsterdam established themselves on the Max Euweplein in Amsterdam and in the meantime the comedy club has become an indispensable part of the capital on a cultural level. People come from far and wide for a hilarious night out with good food and the best drinks and cocktails.

Over the years many stand-up comedians have gained national fame, partly due to the stage that Comedy Café offered them. Some of the comedians we have welcomed to our stage are: Doug Standhope, Donell Rawlings, Edson da Graça, Tony Woods, Bob Maclaren, Nabil Aoulad Ayad, Rayen Panday, Peter Pannekoek, Arie Koomen, Martijn Koning, Alex Ploeg, Najib Amhali, Kasper van der Laan, and Soundos el Ahmadi.

The oldest comedy club in the Netherlands is now expanded, with a second location in Utrecht, called Comedy & Kitchen! Right in the center, on the Oudegracht 205, we are currently working hard on something unique. A comedy theatre is being realized in an authentic wharf cellar, but Comedy & Kitchen Utrecht is more than just comedy shows. For many years, the Greek restaurant Rhodes was located above the wharf cellar and there is now a restaurant full of comedy experience, where guests can eat a delicious à la carte dinner before the performances and enjoy fine wines, specialty beers & cocktails. This is how we created a cultural hotspot for a complete night out in the heart of Utrecht.
